I tried to delete and re-install it but it did not help.Įrror: The requested accessory 'Chamberlain' was not registered by any plugin. HomeSeer and Indigo have free trials, ISY does not as it's not software. After I updated to 3.2.8 the chamberlain plug-in is not working anymore. It integrates with my alarm so I can have the alarm turn off when the door is unlocked and so on. Lots of plugins supported, virtual devices, easy to read logs. It's more expensive than the others but I definitely prefer it. Visit our Support Site for articles and videos. Your home will also need a strong Wi-Fi signal to be able to control and monitor your garage through the myQ App. I run it on my Windows Server 2012 box but you can also buy their HomeTroller as well. Download the free myQ App, and purchase either a Chamberlain Smart Garage Hub, or upgrade your existing garage door opener to a smart garage door opener with built-in myQ connectivity. HomeSeer: I love HomeSeer, it's more pricey as each plugin isn't free but it's far easiest to use, supports tons of devices, Hue, Lutron, UPB, Z-Wave, Insteon etc. ISY doesn't support that, instead it's all variables, so instead you'd make HouseStatus, and have to remember that if it's 0 that means home, 1 is Away, 3 is vacation and so on, super clunky. So with HomeSeer I have a virtual device House Status, which can be Home, Away, Vacation, so I can easily write programs based on those status. There's also NO virtual devices which is huge for me. You can't do any of that on the ISY, the logs are hideous and hard to read. With HomeSeer you click the logs and it shows so clear "3:00pm - Front door opened / 3:01pm - Alarm disarmed by user code #40 / 3:05 - Motion detected in the living room / 3:06pm - Back Yard camera has detected motion" and so on. ![]() For me after trying HomeSeer it made me hate the ISY. It also has zero integration with other services, so there's no plugins to add Hue lights for example or things like that, to do that you need to use all network resources and control them via HTTP which provides you with no status. With Z-Wave it doesn't support a lot of devices, especially multi zone ones. So if you want to see when someone opened the door, you need to log into your PC with the Java app and export an Excel file to view it. There's no real web UI for it other than a really ugly basic one, which shows no info on logs etc. To configure it you use Java, so it's a huge pain to make it work. It's rock solid works really well, however the reason I switched from it is because it lacks some really basic features. ISY994: I've used this for 3 years now, with the Z-Wave module. So you can have a keypad button start playing music and what not easily, but the no locks killed it for me. The other problem is it does NOT support secure Z-Wave devices, so you cannot use door locks with it which was a deal breaker for me, otherwise it's neat as it integrates with iTunes and so on. ![]() Indigo: Indigo is very good I really liked it, but it does require a Mac to run it which could be an issue. I've used all 3 so I can give a good unbiased review! I'd recommend HomeSeer, I just switched to it from the ISY994.
